Would 3CE be willing to forgo those generous monetary awards to individuals in exchange for investing in non-flammable large-scale non-lithium battery energy storage system (BESS) projects that would support better public safety and remove significant financial and risk management burdens on the City's emergency responders and infrastructure (including water supply for fire) if BESS projects, such as 90 Minto Road, are permitted. Thank you. Sincerely, Becky Steinbruner Becky SteinbrunerIs 3CE in the process of negotiating a Power Purchase Agreement with New Leaf Energy for the 90 Minto Road BESS project? Any fires that will happen at the Seahawk Energy BESS, if lithium technology is allowed, will require significant and sustained emergency response as well as water demands from the City of Watsonville. Sincerely, Becky SteinbrunerSandra BaronI support this letter regarding safety issues of lithium battery storage. Building this kind of storage facility is not suitable in neighborhoods, near agriculture or sloughs and lakes. Our small county can't absorb the kinds of long term effects that are more likely than not to occur eventually. Solution? Probably the best is to wait until technology catches up and not be forced to meet unreasonable mandates from leaders who likely don't live near these facilities. 9.cAPPROVE EIGHTH AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH DOCUSIGN, INC.
